Highest Income Producing Activities

One of the biggest challenges for any small business owner with a good deal of integrity is letting go of a few tasks and letting others work at them. However, this is completely necessary for the lucrative survival of your business. If you continue to play at all the different tasks necessary to run a successful business you'll eventually just tread water instead of actually being able to swim towards your business goals.

Employ the help of others so that you can concentrate on your highest income producing activities. For example, instead of trying to figure out how to add email account to user in small business server, you can hire on someone to do that for you. Those hours you probably would have wasted trying to muck through this one task have now been freed up to work on the activities that bring in the most business for your company.

And what should come as extra good news is that you don't necessarily have to hire a full-time employee. Instead, look for opportunities to contract out to keep your overhead down as well as decrease your overall responsibilities, such as those that naturally accompany having full-time employees in your office. Contracting out also carries with it the especially helpful benefit of being able to find someone with a very specific skill set that will perfectly match the needs of a particular project of yours, such as securing a Las Vegas city business license where you might normally be either clueless or simply not have the time to take care of the necessary details.

And instead of spending time figuring out menial tasks such as what are the six parts of a business letter, you can also look to college interns to help you with such tasks. Instead of spending an hour figuring that out, you can instead spend an hour prospecting new business.

Many other small business owners have also been able to lighten their business load by bartering with others. Trade services or even give them some of your products in exchange for their help. Remember, you don't always have to pay for every business element.

While you may like the idea of building your entire business by yourself, you'll want to keep that pride in check for the best chance of success. Keep yourself free to work at your most significant revenue producing activities and your business is sure to take flight!
